MR 5.A brief Analysis on Ascension

I worked on this with Keaton, Charlie, and Mateo. We analyzed the section on the Ascension of Christ. We covered the redemption involved. We covered the 40 days Jesus was on earth after His resurrection. We also covered what the apostles did and how Jesus helped them.

MR 5.1 Brief Analysis of Ascension

This is just a briefly covered analysis of the connection between the resurrection and the ascension of Christ, it also covers what has over viewed in the previous night's educanon.

MR Analysis of Resurrection Theories

If it were ever found that Jesus did not die on the cross, one of two things would happen. Either all Christian teachings would change drastically and all hope would be lost in the world. Or nothing would change, people would go on living their lives unconscious of the fact that their souls may be in great peril, or shouls might not exist in the first place. Many people. I would assume people would convert to Buddhism or something close to that, Buddhism seems fun. We should not worry though, these are just theories.

MR Analysis of Purgatory

Purgatory is present thtroughout much of Catholicism and Judaism. It is described as a place for those who have been accepted by God to be with Him in Heaven, but have not yet made up for their sins they have done against God.
It is known from Scripture and Catechism to be a place with pain, but also with the knowledge that there is no pain in Heaven. It is a place of purification, where the expiation of sin can occur, while the promise of Heaven is confirmed for each soul.

Justin Martyr

Saint Justin Martyr talks about the Eucharist and how Jesus intituted it and its significance. He says that the eucharist is not only bread and wine but the actual body and blood of Christ. He says that when we recieve this we recieve Jesus Christ and we receive His grace. We are to be in a state of grace when receiving the Eucharist. You must believe that you are receiving Jesus when receiving the Eucharist. Jesus gave us the sacrament of the Eucharist for our salvation as it gives us grace. The bread and wine are made flesh by the word of God. Saint Justin understands the significance of the eucharist and explains it to us as it is hard to understand and something that many people take lightly.

Saint Justin Martyr explained this to the emporer who had Christians at his mercy and did not understand these celebration and didn't understand the significance of the eucharist. The christians understood the Eucharist well and celebrated it very seriously and understood that they were eating and drinking the body and blood of Christ but they were being ostracized for their celebrations which seemed strange to others, so Saint Justin Martyr explains the celebration to the emporer of the time.

Exit Ticket October 21

The Eucharist is a celebration that was instutued by Christ for all of us. Jesus' death on the cross is our salvation, through His death He redeems us. He died on the cross for us to save us from our sins and so that we could return to a state of grace and live in communion with God. At mass when we receive the eucharist we are not only eating a piece of bread or drinking a sip of wine we are receiving the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ. When we eat of the bread and drink the wine we receive grace.

Transfiguration (If I witnessed it)

If I was one of the apostles who witnessed the Transfiguartion my faith in Christ's divinity would have been expanded. I would have been extremely astownded by the miracle. After seeing Jesus do this I woulkd not be doubtful in the slightest of His divinity. My life would have changed as the Lord would have talked to me directly.

Transfiguration Outline

Chris and I worked on this outline in idea sketch. We outlined the transfiguration of Christ. We talked about the details in what happened during the transfiguration of Christ and talked about their significance.

If I were one of the Apostles who witnessed the transfiguration, I feel that I would be filled with inspiration, grace, and glory just as the the apostles who did witness it felt.
The miracle of the Tranfiguration was one where Jesus showed his true, divine self to man, something which only happened to the holiest and most important of individuals.
I would feel both great pride and humiliation, being both someone in the presence of God and someone who has been chosen to see God.
I would probably feel the need to follow God's every command and will just as man should do to be closer to Him.

KAClause17 #OutlineTransfiguration

The transfiguration was the instance I which Jesus suddenly showed his Divine Nature to his apostles on Mt. Tabor. Jesus appeared to a few of his apostles, Peter, James, and John, as his truly divine self. To the sides of Christ appeared Moses and Elijah, great and important figures in Jewish history. Moses represented the laws instituted by God to man, and Elijah represented the prophets which through God spoke to man. Jesus represented both these aspects, both instituting laws and speaking as an authority in God.
The apostles who witnessed the trnasfiguration were filled with divine inspiration to continue following Christ through hard times.

MR4.B Defeating the Prince of Evil

God is the most powerful being and we are to have God above all in our lives and always worship Him to the fullest.
Jesus is God and is both human and divine.
The devil is our downfall.
Forty is a tiume of trial.
Lord is a title for God.
Bread is what is used to represent the body of Christ.

MR4.B Defeating the Prince of Darkness #KAClause17

It is noticeable that the three largest words are God, Jesus, and devil. Being the three major points of the reading this is understandable.
The word second largest to these three is the word "written". This is referencing the scriptures present at the time of Jesus. Jesus would say to the devil that he would be obedient to God as it was written in scriptures to do.
Aside from these words, the other words are generally the same size and frequency of usage, nothing stands out to me much more.

MR 4.A Mid Level Activity

Chris and I analyzed the Paschal Mystery, Baptism, and Wedding at Cana more clearly. It is different as it is well organized and easy to read. Our work explains the material really well and to a full extent. It is definately worth reading and provides new ideas and matter sto think about. This is a good project.

The Significance of "Woman"

Jesus called Mary "woman" at the wedding of Cana and at the foot of the cross during His Passion. God spoke of a "woman" in the protoevangelium in the Old Testament and Jesus fulfills this by calling Mary "woman" during His life assuring us of who the woman was that would save us.

#KAClause17 #121-84 #JesusRulez

One thing I learned from last nights educanon video was that Johns gospel was more full of meaning and representation rather than a synopsis of events.

#Butta17

When Jesus was baptized it represented when he went under the water, him defeating evil, and when he came up his resurrection.
